My heart is in wood. Because wood is alive. You can feel the grain with your hands and that feels special. No two pieces are the same, even if I make the same design twice. Every piece is unique.

Beyond woodwork, I also take on smaller renovations: laying floors, insulation, partition walls, pipework. I work with clay plaster, tadelakt and béton ciré; natural finishing techniques you won't find everywhere. I built my own sustainable home largely by myself, so when things get technical, you're in good hands.
Duurzaamheid; gemaakt om te blijven, dat begint bij de materialen
I work with intention. Solid wood over chipboard, local materials where possible, natural oils and paint free from unnecessary chemicals.
Sustainable materials cost more but a solid oak cabinet that lasts twenty years works out cheaper than replacing three flatpack ones in the meantime. I'm always transparent about what I use and why.
I built my own home by these same principles: as sustainable, as local, and as lasting as possible. That's the standard I bring to your project too.
About me
I'm Annegreet, the woman behind ImpactBuildHer. After studying engineering at the University of Twente, I realised I'd rather make things with my hands than sit behind a desk. Preferably to make something that is useful, is beautiful and that stays. So I built my own sustainable home from scratch; designed it myself, carried it out from start to finish, with care for materials and the long term.
ImpactBuildHer. The name says it all: making impact, building with your hands, and 'her' — because yes, I'm a woman in a profession where that still raises eyebrows. Not something I need to shout about, but it's part of who I am and how I work: without assumptions on what's impossible.
"I have never tried that before, so I think I should definitely be able to do that".
Pippie Longstocking
Pippi Longstocking inspired me even as a child; I’ve never done it before, so I think I can do it. That is how I started my own house, and that is how I approach new projects as well. It all starts with courage.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly will I hear back?
I aim to get in touch within 48 hours.
Do you work outside Culemborg?
Depends on the job. For larger projects I'm happy to travel up to an hour. Get in touch and we'll figure it out.
Do I need to know exactly what I want?
Not at all. An idea, a photo, a rough sketch — that's enough. I'll think it through with you creatively.
Can I choose the materials?
Absolutely. I'll happily talk through which wood and finish suits your space and your taste best.
What does it cost?
Every project is different. I prefer to work on a time-and-materials basis; you pay for actual hours and costs, with a free quote and clear estimate upfront. Fixed-price agreements are also possible.
